teeth with cold sensitivity

A sensitive to cold and heat should have their teeth checked. The crowns in the front and back of the tooth can be affected if they are cracked, chipped or broken. You may have to go to the dentist to get them fixed. A dentist will perform a root canal on your tooth to get rid of all the bacteria that is built up.

As you age, your teeth will become sensitive to cold and heat. When this happens, your jawbone will shift as well. This will make it harder for you to chew food properly.

Infection may also occur in the tooth, along with the cracked area. Not all infections can be treated at the dentist. It may be necessary to see a podiatrist to get a consultation appointment for your condition.

Non-prescription pain killers work very well, but they can have some side effects. Over the counter products can actually make your condition worse, and should only be used in very small doses.

Because of the sensitivity to cold and heat, your dentist may order an x-ray to check out any possible problems with your teeth. Some teeth that are chipped or broken may be misaligned. If this is the case, your tooth will not align properly and will not be able to heal properly.

If your teeth become cold or too sensitive to the touch on a regular basis, it may be a sign of something more serious. Your dentist will examine your teeth and talk to you about your condition.

If your mouth is cracked or chipped, a dental procedure known as a veneer may be needed. An example of this is a crown made of veneer.

If you smoke excessively, or if you eat certain foods on a regular basis, your teeth may become irritated. Certain types of foods cause teeth to become sensitive to heat and cold. You should limit your intake of these foods that contain high amounts of acid.

Foods such as strawberries, tomatoes, and onions can cause your teeth to become sensitive to acid. To avoid the problem, you may need to avoid these foods or reduce the amount of acid in your diet.

Some people are allergic to chocolate and must avoid this because of the sugar level in the product. If you are allergic to foods, you will want to make sure you avoid the problem.

If your teeth become dry or chapped, they may be sensitive to cold or heat. Your dentist will give you a solution that will help the problem. He may also recommend you use baking soda to moisten your mouth when you are exposed to cold.

Some people’s toothpaste can trigger this problem. Your dentist will recommend a different brand of toothpaste that does not cause this problem. Just keep in mind that your teeth may be sensitive to cold and heat.
